VOLARI video cards.
« on: February 03, 2005, 04:26:50 PM »
VOLARI will be releasing new pci-e chipsets that will perform about the same as the x700 and yet will only cost around $50. I'm always looking to try 3rd party chips (hell I still use trident cyberblade cards and several s3 cards). With a card of this level at this price perhaps we will see a 3 party market. One can only hope.

If only it wasn't pci-e.

Zoƫ: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

I still have a couple of trident card they were great.
Hopefully the quault of the materal used is good. I'd haate for the cards to only have 50-50 chance of working out of the box.:D
No matter how hard you try to push the envelope, remember it's only stationary.

I'm happy about it. When I move to pci-e in 6 months I'll have a cheap yet fast card to choose from (till I can get a nice card from ati that is)
