Sometimes slower is better.

Scared me to say the least, I was very concerned after spending $450.00 on the card that possibly it could have been damaged just to get a few more frames in a game.....Did not like the risk involved. Everybody enjoys doing different stuff to their PC's to get it to their liking so if you like to overclock, go for it. I just have never felt the risk was worth the gain. Its great you are able to acheive such a big difference on your CPU but I think that is rare and has some to do with the P3 chip you have, most are not that giving.

True true, and when I do get my new MoBo and CPU im not going to overclock
and I will never OC my vidcard I did once and it just wasent werth it...

I have my 1.266 @ 1.43 saved myself $150. With today’s Bios, cpu chip and xp you can't destroy your cpu. You can loose data (I never have).
Ive been up to 1.5 but the system runs slower.
Cpu's are all rated under what their full mhz. If you buy retail.

I think that if you overclock in moderation its good but if that all u sit there and do is try to get 1 or 2 more megahertz out of it thats just crazy a waste of time
Case-Custom, Plexiglass
Mobo- Soyo/ETEQ
Pentium 166 running @ 233
PSU- 250w
131mb of RAM
DVD-ROM
Dual 2 gig HDD(I have ordered bigger ones)
Coming soon-pentium 233 running @ 300 to 350 :evil
More to come when I get paid....

The worse part is that is there are some out there who really will tweak for those 1-2MHz gains.

Forgot to tell you guys, I am actually getting paid to perform performance tuning on servers at this office now!  How's that for a new job?:D

I think that if your getting 1 or 2 MHZ outta of your Processor its fine But i'd go big like 5MHz Increasements everytime
Plus i like Tweaking my Ancient Rage 128 for those extra frames in UT2k3 :D
