Online MUDD - Star Pirates

For the old school gamers you remember playing games when you just had the text to tell you what was happening or had just happened?

How about a game that is play in your browser and is all about being a Pirate in space?  One where you scavenger debris fields, and attack other players all in the name of building a better ship and dominating the game.  All done without beautiful vistas or flashy graphics.  You click links to decide what to do.

Sound boring?  It's not, trust me.

The game is Star Pirates and it has turned out to be somewhat addicting.  I joined yesterday afternoon, and after playing most of the evening I have a level 15 crew, lots of shields and guns, and a nasty ship.  the highest level player so far is level 31 and there doesn't appear to be a cap.  Unfortunately there also doesn't appear to be much in the way of documentation on the game.  It is also only about a month old, but it is fun.  I am working my way to get the highest level ship and get it all researched out so I can go beat up the guys who feel they should take advantage of my gang and also beat up on the little people.

Dunno, but it is way easy to play.  I can do everything I need to in about 5 minutes, then go back to working on other stuff.

Heck Opie leveled the other day without even being on.  Of course he did play a nasty trip before logging off.  I'll let him explain that one.

Also, we created the Ambush! gang/fleet in the game so if you do join PST me and I will fire off the invite.

When you joining Jolly.  You might actually be able to play this one with those crappy hotel connections.

Yeah, pretty fun game.

the way I leveled off line was to leave just a few dollars of cargo in my holds and equip every heavy weapon I had before I logged off.  When someone went to attack me they got quite a little shock.

Is it wrong to keep an online player in the ship yard because they attack you while you are online?

Nope, if they online attack and don't apologize, send them to the docks if you can.  I have had several players my level get a rude surprise when attacking me online.

There was also a player today that would not stop whining in the shoutbox and was annoying everyone, so the players just kept him in the docks for over 2 hours.  He ended up mouthing off that he had "figured out the website" and was going to take it down if they didn't leave him alone.  The admins warned him about the threat and he went off on them.

Bing! Insta-ban time.

Yeah, I lost about 33% of the cargo to pirates raiding me.  Can't trust a one of them.

If the cargo shows up AFTER I go offline I don't know about it until I get back online.

Next time CALL me!  I would assume that your cell works, but you do have a track record with those things.

just remember, online attacking is not polite and will get you camped.  BUT if they raid you (online or offline) or online attack you... it's a forgone conclusion that said offender will pay.

BTW, Both of you have the ability to withdraw and deposit items to the fleet armory.  I have been loading it with interesting gear that you might like.
