For the record... practice was great last night.... Spade and Wolverine were up late practicing.. They went through every standard map to make sure they have them down.  They are in a groove and ready to rock.

The Dynamic Duo will be fully charged and ready to make mince meat pie of those who dare to get in their way.

Watch Xenophobia, you are on their list!

Looking forward to a great game day....

Sorry I kept dropping out.  For some reason I have a breaker that keeps popping on me.  Everytime it goes, I have to spend 5 -10 minutes restarting the filters on my fish tanks.

Well we return from the event with a great deal of gaming under our belts and a second place finish as well.

First round?  Xenophobia and the boys found what it is to face Ambush!.

We had a bye the second round.

We were schooled the championship round.  Ouch!  I learned to fear and respect the triple combo on the shock rifle.  Slider, we will be learning that and you will rue the day you beat us with it.

Overall, a wonderful event and fun for all.

My favorite?  Running over enemy bots with the tank in Battlefield 1942. :D

Rico!  nice job with the mini-gun.  I think Dragon_Master is still hurting from that. :lol

The Tournament was certainly allot of fun.  I was hoping to play more games in the Tourney but still had fun.  The Blue Combo was on the verg of unbelievable.  We learned the power of one weapon that is for sure.  Had a blast playing BF1942 as well and look forward to playing it in a tournament.  I dont think that Unreal was represented as well as some of the other games and that makes me sad since it is one of my favorite.  I long for the day when we have to play 5 or 6 teams to get to the finals, 2 or 3 games just goes to fast.  Good job Ambush team players, lets get the next one.

Well, with a limited number of teams certainly, you want to do a Round Robin style tournament, or another style that allows for a lot more games to be played.  However, at this time, our LAN software doesn't support Round Robins.  :;(:  We'll get it in there before the next LAN.  It did hurt the smaller tournaments quite a bit.

Any more suggestions anyone has for improvement would be swell.

WE GOT OWND IN UT!!!!!!!!! wow.  I could not believe the teamwork you guys had in Orbital.  Again, might I state that I HATE THE REDEEMER :D  Very good work from you guys.  We were all stunned and embarrassed.  Rematch at GZA?  We'll see.

Anyway, I uploaded some pictures if you guys want to check it out.

for Xenophobia:

First of all, Thanks for putting on a great party!

Was a little confused at the final UT CTF tourney. Here's a few thoughts:
1)Server wouldn't run some maps? But others they would? Some maps only ran in Deathmatch? Weird problems? Any idea of what those problems are Z?

2)There was a time before the finals match for UT CTF tournament  that it was going to be "Best out of 3" and then we just played one map, only one time. That might have been said for a different map. I
Maybe restating the rules just to make sure no one is confused.

3)This was the first time (that I can remember) that the 'house' chose the map. Just a suggestion, Have each team choose a map and the house choose a tie breaker map. That way every team has chosen a map they think they will do good on. If both teams win on their chosen map, the tie breaker is the map the 'house' chose. Takes a little more time, but everyone feels they had a choice in the game play AND everyone plays more games. It would still be single elimination but 'Best 2 out of 3 games'.

Thanks again :D Xenophobia for putting on an awesome party. Enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next one.

Here here!  We had a blast.  I couldn't have more fun.

I agree, maybe changing it to best 2 of 3 would make it more enjoyable.  But then most of our opponents wouldn't be so excited about a double dose of us.  I know I wouldn't have been all that excited with facing the triple combo again!

Hey guys, Thank you for being good sports during the LAN party. I know I tick my brother off when I beat him as well as some other "no0bs who can't take losing", but Team A! showed great sportsmanship during pregame deathmatches and CTF finals. In return, that made the day enjoyable for us.  See ya around and thanx again.  --Slider
P.S. I you want to know how I practice it's usually with music that gets you into the grove. I'll try to attach the mp3 of what i listen to. if it doesnt work, reply!

Look forward to the re-match Slider, I know I will be working on being ready.  I figure we can have ZW set all the bots to us the Enforcer and set them to masterful and practise staying alive longer.  Yeah that should work. LOL

I sucked at the translocator when I first started. Now I have gotten pretty good with using it to move and as a weapon. It has only taken me 1 year to get this good.

Slider,  I am going to practice that ShockRifle. In about a year I will be great at it... See ya then!

Thanks for the input.  There were some odd things going with the maps where some CTF maps would load in DM mode.  It was quite weird :/  That's what I get for trying to run everything through ini's.  :D

This LAN was just a stepping stone.  As soon as we get everything smoothed over with the LAN software, we'll have more time to run larger scale tournaments.  Maybe we'll see you guys at GZA come Feb.  Hopefully!  Later, Xen.

My birthday is in Feb.  Maybe I'll get a win over Ambush for my B-day.  :lol
