I, for one, will be very interested in the performance of that beast!

My oh my...  Hulk would indeed be a good name!  The only two problems we had were power, and time.  Didn't get over till 3AM.  Power, well it was our first time in that building and that room, we learned some things.  The most important being that people will daisy chain 50 power strips together and then yell at me that the circuit breaker blew, when it was actually the first power strip in their RAID-5 array of strips.  lol

Oh and I also got blamed for the server being down.  Uhh, I don't think so bucko, how about you get power back to that switch that 30 people daisy chained power off of and then come talk to me.  I swear, people were plugging into all kinds of crazy stuff!

Anyhow, I took some screenshots of the performance section of task manager, I will get them this week.  Here were numbers on the sever:

Peak CPU Usage - 39%
Average CPU Usage - around 20%

Page File - 4.8 gig

Network Usage Max on one NIC - .3%
Network Usage Avg on one NIC - .2%

When I was firing up all the servers initially, Windows Server 2003 popped up and said "You are out of virtual memory, Windows will adjust the virtual memory size to correct this problem."  I was like, daaaarn!  That's sweet!

What did we run?
12 Call of Duty Servers
12 Enemy Territory Servers
8 Battlefield 1942 Servers

The Hulk just laughed at it.  Never a lag complaint, never one second of server downtime.  What an awesome machine, and awesome network.  I am truely lucky to have been able to use such equipment for a LAN.

We had a team come up from Kansas City.  They were #1 on TWL for BF1942 for a year I was told, went something like 178-2 overall.  And yeah, they walked home with two video cards per player.  I didn't mind.  We scrimmed them in CoD and I think I killed one of them, once.  But I'm not sure, it could have been me imagining things as I waited for the next round to start, having been killed immediately.  Sheesh, I got a taste of what you guys got when we came down there!  What went around, came around.  lol.  It was fun though, they were good guys and totally deserved to kick everyone's butt.  Team Carrnage from Cedar Rapids actually held their own very well against them in CoD.  They tied two maps dead even, and the third one went about 10 or 12 rounds.  It was awesome to watch.  I just stood back and shook my head, clearly I could never match their skill.  Wow!

Whoops!  Sorry about that.

BTW, I ordered a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 last night.  My Razer 2100 just isn't cutting it.  I'm tired of it sticking all the time.  :(

I didn't care for the way that one fit my hand.  It's a very nice mouse, I will agree.  I wanted one that was comfortable, accurate, responsive, didn't lose track of where it was or stutter, and it had to have a button for my thumb to set for my VoIP button (teamspeak).

I got them to replace my 2100 because of the sticking buttons issue.

now I have a problem with the mouse not reading if I don't push down harder on the body when I am playing.  Swapped out the mouse ball for a heavier one, and I will see if that works.

But as far as the MX700, it is VERY comfortable for me, and has the 2 side buttons for my thumb.  I wish it was more like the 2100 and had a thumb and pinky button, but it is still fast, and very cmfortable.

New razor mouse with no ball 1000 dpi

I fould that the responce time with the ms mouse was to slow. But then again I was using a razor 2000. I use the mx 500 for all my games but in 2K3ut I have to have it. My frags double.I have done tests and it does make a big difference. Just to bad they can't make a good tracking nonsticking mouse. For that kind of money they will not be around long.

But as you noted with that link, Razer IS working on a n optical version.  Witht he ergonomics of the Boomslang and the optics of a Logictech, i would be willing to condense my mouse farm.

"Give me 1 mouse, 1 mouse only".

My apologies to Sean Connery
