Nice, What is funny is at ITT they keep telling us the PS are a non-repairable device and that you should throw it away.
unless you have a degree in the elecronics field. know what, I have still repaired PSs and will keep repairing them if I need to, they have the simplest circiut in a computer.

For the average person it is just easy to plug-n-play the PS rather than try and repair them though.

no doubt about it, but if you know how to fix it then more power to you. besides what 600 volts from a capicitor.

When I was a kid my dad let me discharge a monitor by myself. All I remember is picking myself up off the floor beside the wall that was 10 feet away and the taste of blood in my mouth where I had nearly bit my tounge off.

The rough estimate for voltage ont eh second anode is about 1000V/screen inch.

I was in a rolling chair and hit it on a 21" screen.

Plus a 17" and a 15".

I was REAL good at accidentally finding the weak spots in the 2nd anode lead with my screwdriver as I was tuning the circuits.

Yepppers a day in the life of an electronics guy. A couple volts here , 5 grand there and you can't leave a week without taking a hit of the second anode.

I only took one hit. I was still at Metro doing my electronics coarses when it happened. they had to replace the whiteboard in that classroom. I had a small cut on my head from the white board and my abs where killing me because they contracted so hard and fast.

After that not much bugs me anymore in the form of electricity.

I had a friend that was a natural ground. He would hit a 120 main and not even be fazed.

We were jacking around as teenagers in his attic and there was a frayed electrical cord on the floor. He put his hand on it, on accident, and the only thing that happened was he blew the fuse.

Well, that and the it got real dark up there real fast.

I got my Godparents son addicted to electricity on the day I graduated from high school. We were out side and his parents had parked there jeep under some high voltage lines that ran over the high school. well after the graduation we met in the high school parking lot and were talking when I had told tony, (My godparents son) to go tuch the leaf spring on his parents jeep. he ask why and I said no reason. well he did and took a zap.

The jeep would build up a charge kind of like a capacitor and tony would then zap himself. every five min. tony would go over to the Jeep and take another hit of electricity.

And no the jeep did not have a bad ground. He'd only get zapped from the jeep when it parked under these power lines.

two weeks later my god parent call me up and say, "Thank Jim, Tony is now addicted to electricity he now takes hits from the wall outlet."

oops

I new they where a liitle anoyed at me because they did not call me by their name they had given me. "Boz, or Bozwick) Which is another story.

perhaps you got the name from the football player Brian Bosworth, who played for the Oklahoma Sooners. He had a flat-top style haircut with a mohawk style cut in the back of his head. He had lines cut in the side of the hair on the side of his head.

OR

Perhaps they gave you that name after the computer geek from RipTide, Murray "Boz" Bozinsky.
