Whatever / Cool Desktop gaming solution« on: March 17, 2005, 03:15:47 PM »
I made the mistake of letting someone borrow the coolest thing that I had, a chain mail dice bag. As for everything else I got rid of it a long time ago.

Keys to the Kingdom was the best. It is frightning how quickly some people will give out user accounts and passwds.

Whatever / Raid anyone?« on: April 02, 2004, 11:30:43 PM »
This is no big deal. The most dificult parts are finding a controller capable of dealing with 8 drives, a case big enough, and power. Linux will easily take care of the raid bit. I can not give you specific commands with out a bit of time to look it up. Personally I would go to the Linux Documentation Projects web site and look it up in their how tos. They have a fairly decent set of docs.

I agree with Kid. People want to stay ignorant of what their computer actually does. They just want to point and click and they get all pissed off if it does not work. People do not want to take the responsibility to read and learn. This will no longer work. Dell is a hardware reseller they should not have to do app support as well. Time to stop the ignorance and stupidity. RTFM.

I am running Linux, although I still have a lot of work to do on my box. I do not have as much time at home as I would like.
Yes UT and CS run on Linux. The UT port is on disk for UT and UT2K3. Try here for UT and try the UT2K3 home site for docs. Fot CS try here it should get you started lookin in the right place. There is/was a devoted Half Life on Linux site I just can not find it right now, try Google. As for Linux software. Freshmeat Sourceforge GNU RPMFind Wine That should keep you gonig for a while. Also get to know Google and their user groups. 25
