Although I like the idea, I am still hooked to my landline.  I think that the future will be a cell phone that is also a wireless device that will switching from cell service to wireless and back depending on where you are and what is available at the time.

I am waiting on that.

I think that Batswana is using VOIP for his phone.  I'll give him a call tomorrow and ask for a review on it.

Well it's just an Idea I have two friends who live in Europe, One in Germany the other in England, It'd be nice to call them more then once a year. With some VoIP Companies Long Distance to Western Europe is no extra charge. Plus the local Long distance, Like Grand Island, South Carolina, and Florida, All state that I could talk to if I didn't have to spend so much. Anyways it's just and Idea I am currently geting a feel for, Let me now what Batswana say Opie, I am really intreasted.

I am going to leave the obvious comments alone, and say that if you don't have Cox Phone, or a cell phone, then this may be worthwhile.  Depends on the pricing for the hardware and the pricing for the service.

I've heard that some ISP companies will try to increase the cost of your internet when they determine how much bandwidth is taken for all those calls.
