You'll still spend the next 5 years after college paying it off.

If I didn't have a house and 2 vehicles I would probably be able to pay more toward it.  But life is funny that way.

Well it has been 4 weeks since I started school and I am completely spent! Why? Certainly, not because I am being over worked. No, they had to throw me in the Intro to PC class with out letting me know that my Transcripts had not made it from Metro. and I can't test out because my classes already started. So it is exactly the opposite I am being under worked. In fact there is the distinct possibility that I am getting stupider. My teacher scares the crap out of me. He’s about a cheeseburger short from a happy meal. And the worst part is that he'll be teaching my ISS (Information Systems Security) Classes. This bothers me because this past class he admitted that he has a file on his desktop that is a passwords.doc file that has all of his passwords in it. Common I can remember all 27 passwords I need to know! And they’re all different. Gaaahhh! Just wait until I show you the tests or maybe the book!

Umm actually, I have a file that contains all the passwords for my stuff.  Of course that file is password protected, but still.

Ok, Maybe that might not have been the best example. I just find it weird to have a File, named Passwords.doc that has all your passwords in it. Since you seem to password the password file that seem ok, by the way, your passwords have nothing to do with the word "password" does it...:D

Anyways most of my ranting about him is based around his teaching anyways, all of my previous IT teachers seem to have used there professional experience to help with there teaching, they've also used more examples then what the book had to offer without going off the topic or straying from the curriculum either. but this guy Just reads the book to us and get click happy with a power point, it could be that he is uncomfortable in front of a class, and he could be a genius. I just can't seem to see it.

I understand, I was just being funny.  I have been in classes where all they teach is the book, and unfortunately they had me in the class, and I was only taking the class because I had to.

Picture this:
ZW walks into class and the instructor says...
"Welcome to Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstation Administration 101"

ZW starts thinking
Bird!!

But at least that is: "Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstation Administration 101"

what if tomorrow you walked into:" Introduction to the personal computer"

You'd be thinking about more the just "bird"

Somedays I cry   through class others I Sleep, and still other I gord myself, all just to kill the pain.

I would be the instructors nightmare.  Every error would be corrected, and every incomplete statement would be fleshed out.  IF he isn't a good instructor that keeps it interesting.  I can learn something in any calss, but if the instructor is not very good, I get REALLY bored, and that is VERY bad.

Last computer security class I took I hacked into the teachers workstation, got root access, and  x-displayed my desktop to his output and played Doom in class for about 15 minutes before the idiot caught on.  He was hooked up to a projector.

We had a long lunch that day.  It took him quite a while before he was ready to try and teach me something again.

Well that is kind of what I am doing. And then I get the good old statement "I'm the teacher let me teach the class" Under my breath I said" If you could teach I'd shut up" ten people laughed, the teach must have heard and remarked "when you have a degree I won't have any problems with you teaching a class"  I keep on "co-teaching" the class.:D

I also like Opie's method! nice my teacher's also hooked up to a projector, alas we don't have our own workstations in this class except for lab, and the have no network cabability...with out so real creative work.

Wouldn't have to be too creative...wireless is cheap these days.

Way to go Opie....wish I could have seen his face when he figured that one out.

It was real fun watching him trying to figure out which PID was running Doom.  Guess that he should have figured out that a who or mount would have given it away.

Mostly I sleep through bad classes.
