Let me know if you need some help..I have a single load on both my machines and have had no problems except for the higher end games on Kyles machine.  That will go away when I pass on my MOBO to him. 8)

I now have sound on the laptop, and it's installing apps like a champ.  I think it's all related to the CD I installed from.

Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

OK, here's the deal, the system has been almost entirely reloaded from scratch, in 1 night, and I tried out JK2 this morning.  I am still getting lockups in the app itself, but I can now install anything without problems, and I will need to test the system in multiplayer.  Things are running a bit more stable.

I think that the CPU cooler not working right caused some corruption in the OS.

Here ya go buddy!!!

Via chipset owners running all flavors of win2k that are experiencing lockups need to get this one:)
Microsoft admits there is a flaw in win2k's support for the via chipsets agp. Download it HERE.
Here's a snippet from Microsoft's site on it:
This update resolves the "Video Hangs When Running 3-D Graphics Programs" vulnerability in Windows 2000. When you run a program that uses 3-D Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) on a Windows 2000-based computer that uses the VIA AGP chipset, your computer may stop responding. This vulnerability is caused by incomplete support for the VIA chipset in the Windows 2000 AGP drivers. Download now to add driver support for your VIA AGP chipset.

Something tells me that Spade has another partner.  This means that Zeet and I will have to watch out for the sneaky pete tactics of the translocator boys!

Well I guess you know what it is to have a partner since you and Zeet have been un-seperatable for quite some time now.  You find your way through the map as Zeet snipes your way clear.  With my long time partner Rogue in KC now, it only makes sense to team up with someone local.  Wolverine has the same mind set as me.  You play to have fun, You play to win, You expect to win, You work hard on your skills, and you keep playing until you do.  You respect those that play better then you and learn from them.  You find their weakness and then you take advantage of it and claim the title.  One thing I have learned is you don't tell the person thier weakness cuz then they will change.  Like ZW for example.....I used to love to run and gun against him cuz he was predictable.  Then I mentioned to him that he always jumps to the left.  Now he is all over the place and is a great run and gun player.  Dang I hate it when that happens!! 8)
