They failed to point out that the NSA is constructing their own power plant there....or maybe thats not so public knowledge.  Well, I saw it in a press release in Federal Defense News, I think thats the publication name, a couple years ago anyway.

So it's public knowledge that the NSA is building a facility to house a yottabyte worth of public  communication information, but not public knowledge that they need to build a power plant to power this facility.
No matter how hard you try to push the envelope, remember it's only stationary.

Yeah they both were public knowledge but the power plant only got publicized once or twice.  The reason why they are building a new facility outside of where they are now is because they have outgrown their current data center facility and the power grid around that area just can't support another huge ass data center.  It's the same reason that NGA had to build south of DC instead of where they wanted to closer to the rest of the NGA assets in DC.
