SLI Multi-Monitor
« on: October 15, 2009, 07:00:37 PM »
Not too sure if anyone saw this, but with nVidia drivers updated to any version of 180 or higher now supports this!

Also Z, I got to find out the hard way today that it was not my video cards causing my comp to have issues but was instead my power supply not putting out enough wattage which I now have to send to Antec to have them fix/replace.

If anyone has a small box I can use, let me know!

how many watts is your psu putting out?

I have similar issues when playing wow with my dual mons on SLI ... random blue screens. I have a 500Watt Antec.

I'm running windows 7 64bit build 7100 release candidate.

Its an 850 watt, the issue with it is something went wrong with the power supply so it can't put out the voltage it should be.

For your situation though, your power supply may not be enough for what your running. If you have 2 video cards and are running SLI, some cards need 500 watts minimum or more. You may want to try looking for a wattage calculator to find out how much your using. The issue could also be software, but it depends on what the error is with the BSoD.

I lied .. it's a 850w.

I can play COD4 fine ... just wow that crashes. WoW never has really supported SLI... i still think that is it.

Well if its an 850, then you shouldn't have any issues. Could be WoW itself but like I mentioned, the BSoD can give you a direction on the issue so write it down and look it up next time. WoW also could not be ready for Windows 7, but there is a lot of variables as to whats going on with your computer.

I am running WoW under the release version of Win7 (it's good to be a partner) and have been for about 4 weeks now.  It runs fine, and I think it actually runs better than before.

Been saving my copy of Ultimate for my laptop.  This gaming workstation is on the Win7Pro.  Let me know what the benefit of Ultimate is for you and how it works out for you as well.  Win7 has been a dream thus far.
