fun lan proposition
« on: August 29, 2006, 05:44:48 PM »
Hey guys, I was wondering if maybe we should get together and have a fun LAN somwhere. I only have a 1 bed apartment but I could hold about 10 peeps, but I would like to have it held at someones house. my bro, travis, has a huge basment that is clear and could hold about 45 people. The only problem is that we dont have tables for everyone. SO what I was thinking is that if we could each bring our own card table ( got mine), it would work the best (or if we had access to long tables that would even be better).

Just a thought, but reguardless, I miss you guys and your LANs.

well,  my bro and I are having frequent (free) LAN's at his place about every other weekend and they are always a blast. The last time we had an additional 2 big screen TV with 2 XBOX 360s playing Gears of War online as well as 8 people with their own PC playing WoW and other games.

I was thinking about having people over this comming weekend on saturday. We usually order Pizza where people just pitch in a few bucks.

We also have an air hockey table there too.

I'd like you guys to come because I always get a kick outa seeing my Ambush friends. :)

Hmmm, I had a Warcraft party weekend before last so I have to recover, but I may be able to make one in a few weeks.

Additionally, the new system has yet to travel, and it needs to have that first trip to see how it does.

Where is it at?

And I can bring the cooler for you too!

about 96th and HWY 370 behind that lake.
Also, If we could get a few 360's with gears of war, we can have a big console party too.

I am going to finalize the seatings and plans this friday, but if you want to show up and do some LAN with your PC, anybody can come.

Gosh, I havent seen that cooler since the last Lanbush.

LANBush?
What's a LANBush?

For some reason that sounds vaguely familiar...

No guarantees since I haven't had a weekend with the spouse for a while.  Hate to burn up the kitchen pass for NetWar.

daaaaaaaamn!

Oh well, dont fret about it. We probably dont have enough table space anyhow unless you brought you own. So, i'll see you at netwar (and hopefully at my future mini-LANs).

If anyone wants to stop by to hang out or bring a table and comp to play, you can call me at six nine zero - nine nine six seven. It will be south papillion at about 96th and 370 (south 1 mile from that point).

See, this is why I take the Friday before an event off.  I can't be told I have to work if I have the day off.  Usually.  And if I don't answer the phone it helps too. :D

hmmmmmm, how does 2 weekends from now sound? I need to talk to my brother and see if he's available and his finished basment can hold 30 - 40 people. However, anybody who has card tables or long tables would need to try to bring them along with their own chairs. Right now, we can host about 10 people with ease an no need for tables or chairs. He lives on about 96th and HWY 370 in pappillion.
is there still interest in this?
