There goes $1.5k from the $4.5k I need to find. Now for the rest of the system.

AMD 2500+ and nVidia 3800 128mb 3dMark05 = 3538

I haven't had time to play with it. I’ve been up at the hospital every waking moment. Might have so time latter.

Finally, Logitech gave the G5 a major improvement in one area that might not seem obvious: the feet. On almost all its previous mice, including the MX518, Logitech used your standard mouse feet, and they all glided the same way. I won't bother spelling out the compound that the G5's gaming feet are made out of (poly-tetra-something-ylene), but it's a much, much smoother glide. I should add that both the Razer Diamondback and Copperhead have an extremely smooth glide as well, so it's good to see that Logitech has caught up in this department.

Ultimately, if it came down to a fight between the G5 and the Copperhead, I'd give this round to Logitech. The G5 is many ways greatly improved over the MX518, while the Copperhead doesn't feel all that different than the Diamondback -- in fact, I still prefer the Diamondback as my mouse of choice. About the only thing keeping me from jumping to the G5 altogether is the larger size -- if Logitech could include a smaller size in its lineup, I'd probably be on board in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be in the cards just yet, as we're still waiting to get our hands on the upcoming (larger) G7 cordless laser mouse -- I'll just enjoy my Diamondback for now, and we'll keep you posted as the new goodies come in

I find it funny that his beef with the G5 is the larger size, and he likes the Diamondback for the smaller size.  My beef with the Diamondback is that it is so small, and I prefer the MX700 for the larger size.

I am waiting, somwhat impatiently, for the G7 so that I can maintain my wireless and get rid of the MX700, and maybe the Diamondback.

I forgot about the keyboard.  That will be something I get BEFORE the mouse. Maybe.  We'll see.

Good news, I have had 2 keyboards die on me last night.

One was pretty much already broken, but the other one (My main one) started giving me some issues.

am seriously thinking about getting the logitech.

Perhaps you should look into what is killing your keyboards before getting a new one?

Well the first one I had the keys were not registering even if I was pressing down on them. When I wasn't pressing down, it would think I was pressing them down at an inappropriate time.

For the second keyboard, I figured that it must have a short in it. I figured this because when I try to type, it thinks that caps lock, shift, and Ctrl are being held down all at once.
