Ventrilo Tips and Tricks

This post is mostly for the Ambush Crew, but is still very good and useful information.

If you are running a Ventrilo server  you can launch them from you web browser.

Example:

ventrilo://voice.clanservers.com:9438/servername=Ambush

Works with both IE and Firefox.

No matter how hard you try to push the envelope, remember it's only stationary.

You can also run teamspeak at the same time and talk on both.

Heck no, talk on VOX in both.  Not my fault you can't follow the conversation.  Kinda a form of Snauzing.  :hubba:

Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

In the Recording section you should have the Mic muted.  I usually have my Line setting in Ventrilo set as Microphone, never WhatUHearsince that will usually start the echoing.  Also, check if Mic boost is on.  If it is needed for us to hear you, then turn down your send some so that it doesn't feed through the return.

Opie may have a few other things to check as well.

It also depends on the headphone drivers....Logitech headphones do not show up in the microphone list but work anyway.
Mediocre people are always at their best.
