It sounded like you would do the same as what you do now with the redeemer. You switch to camera mode and spin around, meanwhile, somebody comes up and frags you for standing still on the battle field!

If you folks havn't heard by now, UT2003 has been pushed back until August or September. What a bummer......:cry:

Here are some facts that I have been able to dig up:

1) The translocator still exists, it is limited to 5 shots, but recharges quickly.

2) It appears that the sniper rifle is gone, but they have a new weapon called the Lightning Gun that is used in sniper mode. But the rounds are lightning bolts, so snipers have to keep moving. Ya hear that Zeet! I told you to learn run-n-gun!

That's an old skill that any good sniper can do. I think that Batswanna is the best at it that I ever came across.

Hey, I just downloaded the "shakycam" video of the CPL presentation for UT2003 by Cliff B. of Epic. It's 74.1mb. If anyone wants it, I'll make it available for you. Burn it to a disk, open up a port for ftp or something.

Folks, what can I say? I watched the video, all 45 minutes, and can honestly say that Zit will have a very hard time sniping without detection. Maybe three shots, more likely one, and you'll have to move.

Some of the really cool stuff I saw was the addition of dogging off of walls, a form of rocket jump, flubber like walls, and my favorite so far laser target designator. Orbiting satellites of Death await you signal. Sounds like a little bit of Command and Conquer to me.

Overall, this game looked really cool. Now if I could only get my hands on a copy.

PS....now scheduled for shipping 28 Aug.

Its TOO much like Quake3 and i very much dislike that (its the whole look with the colors and cartoonish grafix {also the fact that my P3 933 wont be enuff to run it even desently})

I hate to tell everone the beta is very different Than the one comming out 9-24-02 The graphics suck no matter what you do it runs the same. I,m getting 30-50 fps with lag. oh want to see fps type in STAT FPS :plasma::plasma:

Yes their goal is to release the game with no bug in it at all. thats why the game has been delayed. Will see if the make their 9-27 date. Don't hold your breath
Has anyone contacted them to see if we could get 2003 for game day??? or group discount?
