I figure raiding is part of the game and it's free money. I don't do it a lot, but when someone has a large amount, 100K or more, in cargo, I will take a portion.

I think the tax rate should be 6%. What do you think?

The tax rate is how much of what you take goes into the Fleet bank....so if it goes to six than its lees money for you

The tax rate only kicks in on teh combat winnings.  It doesn't kick in when you rescue someone, when you foray or search the debris, or when you raid.  Only if you attack someone and win, or if they attack you and you win.

We haven't used the money in the vault as of yet, But I am sure that we will find some use for it.  So far I have been providing any funding needed since I am grinding so much money as it is.

Well, there is a new fleet and they contacted me...
Quote
My fleet [-W-] The Wardens are looking to build ourselves by establishing fleet relations .

We are open to No-aggression pacts (no online attacking of each other) or such pacts like Mutual Defense Pact.

If you decide on anything let me know...

-Andover
President of [-W-] The Wardens

Is it me, or is Andover the VERY annoying player that is always complaining about someone raiding him and stating that he was online attacked just to get his fleet to attack the supposed attacker?

If this is true, then my reply will be a strongly worded reply stating that we are not interested in affiliation with a person who has caused so many issues.

feel free to gank it up boys.  Apparently Andover hacked Snauz off enough that he has been online nailing Andover now.

BTW, anything less than 5 in a row is not considered "griefing".  That is the moderator's rule of thumb.  ;)

I am down to 88M now, but I bought a ton of stock after they crashed again.  They are now worth almost 4.5M on their own.

*does the happy dance*

One of mine is $1 above my invested price.  The key is to  buy a LOT of stock and be patient, it will go up if you bought in while it was low.

BTW, I just ran the numbers...

Counting the stock investments, I currently have $93,956,574.
The total cargo in the game is listed at $469,896,444.

That means that I currently control 19.995% of the currency in the game.

Yikes!

So I get called away from my desk for a meeting, and don't get a chance to log out of SP.  An hour later I realize that I didn't get a chance to and should make sure I didn't leave any cargo out to be stolen.

I login and it says I have $9,143 in cargo and 1 event.  Crap, I got raided.
A check check of the log shows the following:
Quote
Received:     June 11, 2008 10:01:18am
Event:  Executor ([Pro] weredrow) offline attacked you and lost: you gained 444 experience.
You raided their ship for $600.

I pulled an Opie!!!!  Some little noob saw the 9Gs and thought, "Wow, I can attack him and get a big chunk of it!"

Then he ran into my shields and folded like an origami crane.  To make matters worse, he must have had over 10K in his cargo, so I get $600 for him splatting on my shields.

I love this game.

Yeah, I logged out last week at exactly 50% of my level.  Today I am at 86%.  I've been scraping a lot of bugs off my windshield just lately.  Sometime the same person hits me 3 or 4 times in a row and never wins.

Ok, I am the first in the game with a Warship Mk.V.  The total cargo in game went from 459,409,792 to 364,825,247.

I think it is safe to say that nobody else was that close to the 'naught.

Only $925,000,000 to go and I will have it!  *shudder*

#1 rule....stats mean more then level does.  I'm at level 29 and most people go splat on my ship.  Research all the time, even when you don't want too.  Always wait until the research and energy bars are full.

Actually, I do a series of 3 researches, all Max researches.  I have found over time that it seems to impact.

The process I am using is as follows: (I will use wep as example)
1) Max Weapon research
2) 10pts to refill Energy
1) Max Weapon research
2) 10pts to refill Energy
1) Max Weapon research
2) 10pts to refill Energy

Go beat someone up for a while waiting for research to charge.
