I can't get to my preferences in ut 2003. I hit ~ and type Preferences and get an unrecognized comand. Tried it in the game and out of the game. anyone else have this problem? Or know what I'm doing wrong?

Every Website I've been too that talkes about preferences that are not in "The Game" always telles you to go to the "UT2003.ini" and manualy edit the "Advanced Preferences"....
So, I dont think there is a Pop-up menu like in UT1

Advanced Preferences
Apart from the Desktop or GUI in UT there is a set of additional menus that can be accessed by bringing down the console (press the ` key) and typing the word Preferences. This will display the advanced settings dialogue box where you can fiddle with a whole bunch of stuff. The menu is mouse driven and works on a series of collapsing folders like Windows Explorer. The Render section is particularly useful if you want to experiment with graphical tweaks. On release of UT2003 some hardcore UTers will be looking through this menu (if it still exists in the build of the engine) very quickly after getting the game.
NOTE that if you are using the Det 40.82 driver for your Nvidia card you may
have problems with in the demo.  The readme suggests reverting

This is what I find but doesn't work for me

Notice the section that I highlighted.  They weren't even sure if it would be in the release version.  This was written prior to the final release version.  I see no references on the official site.

Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.
