Hello from SAE
« on: November 19, 2007, 12:25:12 PM »
Hey guys just stopping by to say thanks for comming to our server (COD4) and playing then our site to post that you had fun.
In about 8 or 9 days we will be buying our own dedicated server instead of renting as we do now.
Our new box will be a much better one than we are on now so lag issues should decrease dramatically but this will means that our IP will change when we make the switch.
We are hoping with the new box to explore the possibility of running a second COD4 server with a different game type.
We also run two Black Hawk Down servers as well.
We look forward to seeing you all in game again.

WOOT!

I second that Grim.

Just try not to kill me so much.     :sniper:

Sooner or later I'll get better then you'll be in trouble.

See you tonight.

Yep yep.  Welcome to the site, and thanks for the pounding.  My eyes are still dizzy from all the flash 'nades.

I might actually have to start playing COD4 now.  Think I'm going to stop and buy it on my way to Denver.

Even if Grim did tend to find me with bullet penetration more than I care to be subjected to.

Good God man!  Can't a person relax behind a concrete wall for even a second without being perforated repeatedly by hot lead?

Yeah, just love that penetration perk.  :D

It's funny how the various maps play out.  Sometimes the OpFor just cream the Allies and other times it is quite the opposite.  Which map we are on seems to be a big indicator.

Do you guys have scheduled training times, etc, or are you just using the playtime on the server with everyone else as your training?  I have been rather impressed with how well the SAE crew perform.

Maybe we can schedule a scrim or two, we all could use the practice (hint)
And what better targets then people we like ( Snauz excluded)

I know, I know, but we need that 'nade chuckin', knife wielding, berry on or side once in a while. And we need to learn how to use him effectively. Then we can use him as target practice.

effectively?!?  It's easiest to say point him in the general direction, "Sick 'em",  then stand back and watch the carnage.

Hello to all been to busy playing and cooking over the last few days to post lol. Well the holiday pushed back the delivery date for our new server until Monday so we are hoping that it will be up either late Monday or early Tuesday so the server IP will change when it goes live.
If you know computers and are interested here is a link with the info on the new box.
http://www.sae-squad.com/EXimages/NewMachineReport.htm
I just push the buttons and hope the thing does what i want it to lol but i am told by my wife Sage and our resident computer geeks that this is a sweet machine for us. I can't wait for it to go live we should see MUCH less lag than we have been getting lately when it does. I am not sure but the lag seems worse to me since we told our current provider that we were making the switch to a competitor. Not that we have had any problems with them and we would highly recommend them but Freaks Network made us a better deal and thats what counts. That and Sage has friends at Freaks from work on anti cheat stuff for BHD.
So i have been having fun playing with and against you guys and hope you continue visiting us.

Sorry I haven't been out much.  The latest patch cleared my favorites, and certain other un-named members of the group got me started back into Guild Wars as well.  But I think I should be able to play tomorrow at some point.
