Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

I have heard that some people have already recieved it.

So I just wanted a comparison to those two mouses.

When I could afford it, I'll think about getting one....

I would like to get either the MX518 or that new Razer Diamondback, but I would like to compare them first before I ever choose.

If you're looking for the best gaming mouse, there should be three mice on your short list: the Logitech MX1000, the Logitech MX518, and the Razer Diamondback. The MX1000 is the only wireless one of the bunch and it has laser technology, but the Diamondback and the MX518 both offer a 1600dpi optical sensor for awesome responsiveness.

All three mice are great, but I'd pick the Diamondback or the MX518 as my primary gaming mouse. The Logitech MX1000 is wireless and it has excellent features, but the mouse is much heavier than the others. The weight disadvantage is very noticeable in first-shooters where a lighter mouse will help you aim faster.

Choosing between the MX518 and the Diamondback is more a matter of mouse shape and button preference. The two mice also have software differences, but we're willing to give up a few sofware features for the best mouse shape. Gamers accustomed to an old school Logitech or Microsoft shape will prefer the Diamondback as the MX518 has a newer, ergonomic design.

I got to try the Razer Diamonback just recently, something that I noticed is that it does respond a lot faster than my Logitech MX510. The shape is different so it took a little getting used to, but so far I really liked it. I would like to try out the Logitech MX518 before I would make my final decision.
