 Now I have a dying keyboard....
« on: March 28, 2005, 04:10:47 AM »
Help, my keyboard is now dying on me.

The delete key and the letter n key are not working.

I have to now paste the letter to type anything.

Anybody have any suggestions for a good replacement?

Anything will work still below a $30 price range, and I am willing to buy a used one.

PS/2 or USB?
--------------------------------
Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

Is this a pretty good one?  The one I have now, I spent about $5-10 on it.

And now it is starting to really piss me off! :evil

The n key works now, but when I don't even press it, it will put the letter on the screen.

The logitech is a good one but doesn't have the extra usb ports on it.  I haven't any problems with them either.

I think I found the one.  It is the Viewsonic KU709.  It has extra usb ports and a laptop style key set which I kind of like.

nope...I could but then again, you are the only person I know that uses the 'n' and 'del' key during gaming. I could use your keyboard, but I don't use those keys so, it wouldn't effect my game playing.....

That is what I use, but when a keyboard does this while playing: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn it doesn't really help the game play.

I don't have a nostromo, and my n key was bound to sprint.

I just recently changed it to caps lock but the keyboard wants to keep posting the n key causing an anoying noise.
