ddos attack?
« on: January 26, 2005, 02:01:55 AM »
I think my site may be experiancing a ddos attack. It's still up for now but in the last 12 hours I'v had over 1000 ip's make requests to my site and it's added up to over 1gb in just 24 hours.
an old snapshot of awstats before it went down (oddly awstats stopped working soon after I made this copy).

(note that today is blank. have no idea why)

Have you contacted your hosting company?  This should be eliminated by using the network equipment to eliminate the traffic.

Zoƫ: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

I have but it normally takes a few days to talk to them (even though they say they have 24/2/365 support).
