Well... it's purdy.  Reminds me a lot of Quake 3..  

I'm not overly impressed just yet.  This is a leaked Beta, hopefully the release beta will be better.  argh... lavagiant is sweeeeet ....  it just seems like the game play is slower...  I don't like slower game play, UT was about as slow as I like to go.

I got it by digginging and hunting all over newsgroups with a friend. He finally found it, and I downloaded it since I'm on 1.4m connection now. The link I got it from is already dead. You really have to dig to find it. It's a pre beta from April, not even supposed to be available to the public. It's sort of buggy, and you can't adust controls unless you edit the .ini files.

I'll warn you now, if you don't have at least a GTS card, you're not going to have too much fun I don't think. It's got beautiful graphics, but they're hoggin'.

Over all, it's growing on me. It's not much like the UT we know now. Not quite as fast paced, some of the weapons are different. You have to have aim to use the flak cannon now, rocket launcher only loads up 3 rounds not 5, the translocator has a limit before it has to recharge now so no more trans whorin'. There is a neat double jump feature though, and I think a double dodge as well. The bots are a lot smarter for sure. They even hide from you and pop out behind you and nail ya. Half the time I never see them, I'm just dead....

Hey Kid A,

I pass through your fair city, at least it's fair when the wind is blowing in the right direction, almost every Thursday.  Could I stop by and get a copy sometime?
