I downloaded it at home from work.  It's good to have RDP.

See rameg, ya just gotta do it!

BTW, I waited exactly 2 seconds.  just long enough for the server list to some up on the screen. :P
how about you Boom?  How long was your wait? :D

downloaded, played it, I like it

It mixes Halo,UT2k3,Unreal2 MP,and BF all into one game. The white ball gun on the jeep is cool, shoot out a ball then hit it with alt fire and boom!

I really like this game. I think it has the umpf to finally pull me away from EQ and PS. I've played on the Dominion Guild server and the Unreal Playground server. Where do you guys play online?

I installed it LATE last night and played Assault and onslaught.  won the first round, lost the second.  I was spending a lot of time learning the vehicles.

I do like it, and will have to read the manual to understand the vehicles better, and the rules as well.

Onslaught has to be one of may favorites

Onslaught

With the warm-up out of the way, we jumped into to UT 2004's new "Onslaught" mode, which pits two teams fighting for control of a series of points in an attempt to reach and destroy the enemy team's power generator. The first map we played was "ONS-Frostbite," an appropriately named snowy outdoor affair with only three points of contention -- the two bases and one central power node. With the small size of the map and only five players per side, it was a great map to start with: the action was nonstop and there were plenty of vehicles to go around. Naturally, teams fought tooth and nail over the central node; once controlled, our team could go straight after the enemy team's power core.

Even on the icy surface, the ground vehicles were easy to control, and at times things got hilariously chaotic with vehicles blowing up around us, flipping into the air before landing on other players. The Scorpion buggy's retractable blades came in handy while navigating the map's tight canyons, slicing up any unfortunate enemies who happened to be running through on foot.

The best part of the match, though, was the very end: In the last ninety seconds I made an epic run from our team's base to the enemy's that involved piloting two vehicles, five consecutive kills, and to top it off, the winning shots to destroy the enemy power core. (We even got it on video!) It was one of those totally unscripted, completely memorable moments that many multiplayer games strive for but rarely achieve; if nothing else, it's a good sign that Epic is on the right track with the new mode.

Our next stop was "ONS-Torlan," which many of you may already have played in the just-released UT 2004 demo. However, playing this map is a little different when you're playing with the guys from Atari, who have clearly been practicing regularly. Maybe the teams could have been picked a little better, but it wasn't even close -- within a minute or two, our team owned nearly the entire map and it didn't take long before the red power core was toast.

I was 17. It was late in the school year. And on Firday nights we would go to a friends house that was on the edge of town. In his back yard was long field with the house was on one end and a shed on the other we had a big bond fire at each building. What we did was have to make little bond fires every hunderd feet or so an to link across the field and put out the other bond fire. ...  ...  ... Oh Yea!! I played onslaught a long time ago.

P.S. is there a spel checker on this thing.

I am not sure of the fps Rico.  I will check later tonight if I get the chance.

As far as the chat goes, it is ONLY PTT!  That sucks.  And it drops the level of the game audio when you key the mic.  And it is not on by default.

The one thing that we discovered was that you have to turn off the Dynamic Netspeed setting or you can't get more than 3-4 peeps on a seesion.  Everytime the 4th person connected to the game all the remote players pings were going to 300+!

So we downgraded the connection setting to ISDN.  That didn't help.  We turned of Dynamic NetSpeed and ping dropped instantly!

What servers do we play on?  Mostly I start one since I have the firewall setup already.  Otherwise, we just find one that is available.

The chat is that bad.
Whats funny is the Text 2 Speech, LOL
When people start chatting and you have that on it get funny,
I like text2speech because I don't need to look at the text and be distracted
I don' like it because of the quality.
And that Dynamic net speed that sucked
I started a couple of server like that and i could not figure out what was the deal and then I started hunting around
It was brutal thanks for the tip Z, I am fix ing it now.
