Just go to where you start up cs and right click it and go to properties and then where it says target is will look like this

C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe

just add -console

so then it will look like this

C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe -console

BTW, if you still are going to compete competitvely you should download cs 1.6
you can get it at fileplanet

But I thought you couldn't have a LAN server running 1.6 since you HAD to have an Internet connection for Steam to work?

But what is really proven when a player cheats?

I don't mind losing because I had lesser skills, not because you had cheats.  I would rather win because I am just plain better, instead of winning because I hacked.

Be careful when you make a blanket statement like that Fraggster.

I don't have cheats on.  I have used the codes in a game when I am playing single player, and we did once use them at a private party we had, and that was against each other.

I think that is what he is trying to say, when he plays with his cheats on he lets everyone know who is playing with him and allows them to turn on their cheats...kind of like who can cheat the best.
Luck is better than skill anyday! The more skill I get, the luckier I get!
