And the first time that you machine tries to address more than what is physically possible and you lose all the past 6 hours work becasue you were not smart enough to save, you will find that you PC has just crashed on you.

The PAE switch has been around for a long time.  I am glad to hear that it does still work.  I am looking to upgrade the laptop to 4G of RAM for work purposes and this should do it.

I'd rather use 64 bit Vista, haven't had any issues yet and with 8 gigs of ram it sure does help out my work process!

My roommate has had some issues with 64-bit vista.  He got a laptop from killer notebooks. It has to be the best high end laptop, except he has a lot of issues with 64-bit vista. Not to mention the customer support is horrible.

Most of the drivers that say they're 64-bit compatible from killer notebooks for the two M8800gtx in sli mode end up crashing the system.
i Haven't talked to him since he got the new 180s.

That because NV can't write good drivers.

That because NV can't write good drivers.

Prove it with CURRENT information.  There were problems with the initial drivers over a year ago.  But there were other device drivers that were causing problems as well.

My NV Drivers are awesome. I'm Running the 180s which are still in beta and haven't had a problem. I'm running a 32-bit Home Premium Copy. I have heard lots of people having issue with 64-bit vista and device drivers from an array of manufacturers. Not just NV.  My roommates issues could be a lots of other issues as well, but NV drivers are the only ones leaving a message behind for him.

Were or are?  Let's see the current documents.  When Vista was released, there were problems with nVidia drivers, but there was a new release no long after and the nVidia problem was fixed.

Let's look a the dates on those articles shall we?

2)  by Brad Linder Mar 28th 2008
3)  Monday, March 31, 2008 10:33 AM PT Posted by Scott Nichols

Remember when I said CURRENT information?  That is all from last March and no longer valid.  New drivers have been released many times since then.

Not trying to be rude or mean, but to have this discussion we should be dealing with issues that are still an issue, not something that has be resolved already.

None of that told me anything either.  There is a lot more info in an event log than what you posted.  post the whole thing and I can maybe help you with that.

That was the whole thing. They are just telling you it not their problem. go to the NV forms and there are pages of people having the same problem. This was on my XP o/s. I did a fresh install of vista and have not had problems with the drivers so far. I am starting to have problems in xp. DX crashes NV errors. Might be time for a fresh install. I will say most of the problems I have had are with the beta drivers but when they come on line they still caused me some problems. I have for the most part change to vista. crysis is still a little bugy with the console when it comes up.
