We have been duped!
« on: September 29, 2008, 02:27:25 PM »
Early in my computer career I found this great app called "Mavis Beacon teaches typing".  I still have a copy sitting in my basement, no surprise to those who know me I am sure.  Although the copy is my wife's not mine.

We used to sit on her computer and see who could type faster thanks to the fine tutelage of the wonderful Ms. Beacon.

And now?  I find out that she is a fake, a fraud, a sham.

I feel so violated.  I let her into my computer and trusted completely.  I shared soft drinks, candy bars, and cookies with her!  (OKAY, so I got to eat them all and she just drove me to type faster, but still.)

Even worse is that the article is 13 years old!

My hat is off to a company that makes a product that lasts this long and can build a brand image so solid it can stand the ravages of time.

And yes, the product is still on the shelves today.

Zoƫ: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.
