New Demos or games
« on: August 22, 2007, 01:44:54 PM »
Bioshock demo is out. It uses the new Unreal engine. Got to check it out. DX9 or DX10. Might be time to load vista again.

Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

The New MOH Demo is out. You can start anywhere in the map. This means endless game play. I played 3 times and it was different every time.

I will have to take a look at that.  I just go the demo of BioShock running.  Stupid thing locked me up twice and jacked up my resolution once.  Has an interesting look to it.

Bioshock is the talk of the town, and has Jack Thompson, everybody's gamer hater and the media talking about it. apparently the little girl is a killer and that has the world up in arms. This game look interesting. I need to do some upgrades. I just need to figure out who's garbage can too raid.

If this a veiled comment about raiding my trashcan, forget it.  I have nothing to pitch which will help you.

And the opening minutes for BioShock?  Yeah, it's freaky weird.  A scene right from a horror show.

I do have to inventory my stash and then call a company that will buy it from me.  Not looking forward to that job. cash is nice, but inventorying everything, not so much.

I wish there was a better way to secure the games.  There has to be.  I personally will not be buying this until there is a fix... and I have the money saved up.  Pricing is still high on my list of issues as well.

First off I really hate how The Inquirer takes the extreme negative and uses unfitting wording like malware.

By using RootkitRevealer, you will see this key in you registry.

…\Software\SecuROM\!CAUTION! NEVER DELETE OR CHANGE ANY KEY*

It is the * character at the end, causing the “Key Name Contains Embedded Nuls” message.

However this doesn't mean is is a rootkit or malware.

Now I will agree that SecuROM is an unfortunate DRM to be having on your system and I do not agree with it. But calling it malware is as misinformed as calling it a rootkit. Same as calling the activation process in Windows malware. Its misinformation that shouldn't be spread. Which is why I don't like reading The Inquire.

I think that this whole DRM is PC games is out of control with games like Bioshock, and I hope they fix it. I won't have the pleasure of playing it because of my crappy system.

I don't know but it's going to have to be the bride to run the new COD 4 demo that came out today.

Might want to look at Toms hardware for some ideas

Yep, he was right in the middle of playing and the screen froze.  15 seconds later he gets rebooted... in Vista no less.

Please, no smoke.  Smoke makes Boom unhappy, and he just finished the latest mods to his case.  Looking really good.

Well, Unreal Tournament 3 runs on my system, and So does COD 4. Maybe not as wonderfully as some systems. However they run, little lag, and Tolerable Frames, for me that is. So when the real thing comes out. I can have my socks rocked! I'm excited!
