Nice April Fools joke though.;)

Use this and edit. put your avatar in your system properties box. save your avatar and a bmp and change the name to oemlogo.bmp. you can edit the ini file to say what you want. Hit the windows key and the pause/break key. You might have to resize you bitmap.

"Also available for download is G3D System Properties. Pretty nifty stuff if you ask me. The thumbnail is seen below. All you have to do is click on it to download."

If you have a newer keyboard, it should have the Windows keys on it.

on the right side is one that looks like a menu and mouse.  that's the right-click key.  just switch where you want to create the folder, click that button, then W, then F.

Probably, but why waste the effort to write the macro when you can click it faster?

Sometimes it isn't worth the effort, sometimes it is.

One thing I find with Windows is that if one part of the system, like the task bar, has crashed, in order to fix it you have to reset all your 'explorer' functions. Perhaps I'm just being stubborn, but I like the order of the icons in my taskbar...

Of course you can change this in the registry. First load up regedit (Start -> Run -> Regedit then press ok) and follow this path HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Explorer.

From there create the DesktopProcess DWORD and give it the value 1 which makes explorer split into many individual services. If this causes your system problems, simply change the value to 0 to disable.

From now on if you overclock too high, or a piece of software causes your system to become unstable, you no longer have to mess up your icons or reset explorer. Just reset the application which has actually locked up. =)

The Windows key on the keyboard can be very handy, but it can also get in the way when playing FPS games. On more than a few occasions I've hit that button by accident, causing me to drop back to Windows desktop, and get killed in the game. Should this happen when you're playing competitively online it can seriously affect your rankings!

Luckily it's something that can be fixed with a simple registry tweak, first load up regedit (Start -> Run -> Regedit then press ok) and follow this path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> Keyboard Layout. Once you're there right click and create a new binary value. You'll want to edit its value and enter this...

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00

Save, then reboot your PC. After that's done you should notice that the windows key *no longer functions* which I'm sure is good news to some of you out there. This works in all versions of Windows.
